Round-up :: Dining Chairs

wishbone dining chairs

A new set of dining chairs can make all the difference in giving your dining room an updated look. Some of my favorites include clean lined mid-century, timeless traditional and eclectic vintage chairs. The dining room shown above, by Stylizimo is a beautiful example featuring mid-century wishbone chairs – love how the sheepskin rug thrown over one chair gives it an on trend bohemian look too.

Now, where can you find vintage, eclectic or designer chairs? A fabulous source is Viyet (pronounced vee-yet). It offers access to designer and brand name furniture at a fraction of retail prices. They make it easy for owners of high-end furniture to sell items when it comes time to move or redecorate. All of their pieces come from individual homes, interior designers, or designer showrooms and are personally inspected by one of their experienced curators.

Today, I’ve selected several of my current dining chair favorites now available at Viyet. Whether your starting fresh or looking for the perfect chairs to update your room, these chairs will make any dining space look beautiful.

5 Favorites :: Pinterest

Hello Monday! The start of a new week can be both refreshing and overwhelming. This week I’m planning a couple bathroom renovations, our backyard in being landscaped and the kiddos are busy with summer activities.  Although it will be a busy week, I’m thankful for a break from a heat wave we’ve been experiencing.

To start the week off on an inspiring note, I’m sharing a few of my favorite pins on Pinterest as of late. As you’ll see, recently I’ve been pulled to lots of soothing neutrals and pale shades of pink.

For sometime The Shade Store has been a go to destination for me to source window treatments for clients as well as my own home. Do you remember the beautiful Roman Shade in our master bathroom for the One Room Challenge?

To ensure quality custom window treatments, The Shade Store manages all inventory as well as every aspect of the production process. In addition, I love that all of their products are made in the USA.

The Shade Store collaborates with leading designers such as Kate Spade New York, Jonathan Adler and Jeffery Alan Marks to create fresh and relevant collections. I was thrilled to hear that recently they launched a collaboration with A-list designer, Nate Berkus. The Nate Berkus for The Shade Store Collection features five patterns for Roller Shades in neutral prints inspired by Berkus’ worldwide travels including textiles from Mexico, embroidery from Southeast Asia and printed fabrics from Europe. Some of my personal favorites are listed above. I’m loving this collection – how about you?

Friday Finds :: Spring Cleaning Essentials

disclosure: This post (spring cleaning essentials) contains some affiliate links, which means Simplified Bee receives commission if you make a purchase using these links.

sheepadoodle puppy

Our Sheepadoodle puppy, Dino (sometimes referred to as dirty dino and pictured above via instagram) has been with us a year now and although we love him dearly, he makes keeping our home clean a real challenge. He enters the house from outside and reminds me of pig pen from The Peanuts. So, I am pretty much vacuuming the floors on a daily basis. (agh.)

All this cleaning has me thinking of  my favorite spring cleaning essentials (while it’s still spring!). I love that so many cleaning products are eco-friendly, help reduce clutter and are now super stylish … which just makes the task much more fun, don’t you think?
