Designer Crush :: Megan Tagliaferri

Known for her glitzy hotel and casino interiors in Vegas, Megan Tagliaferri of FLO Design Studio describes her own personal aesthetic as “California mod spiritual.” In her Belmont Shores of Long Beach home, she blends a mix of earthy, yet glamorous boho style. Tagliaferri brilliantly layers rich patterns throughout using designer wallcoverings, Moroccan textiles and vintage furnishings. Although high glam, the rooms are cozy, inviting and laid-back. It’s the perfect interior for the relaxed SoCal waterfront lifestyle Tagliaferri and her family were seeking. Take a peek!

Glimpses of a Design Client Installation

Installing for a design client is always exciting. In fact, I had the pleasure of doing a large install for a client just last week. It’s always fun to see the before and after transformation right in front of your eyes. Most of all, it great to see the smiles on your client’s face. I’m thrilled when they are in love with their new space.

Although it’s not time to share all, I have been sharing glimpses of this beautiful home and design on Instagram. Here are a few of my favorites.

I’m loving it all and am especially pleased with the wow factor Kelly Wearstler’s trellis wallpaper in citron gave the powder room (pictured above).

5 Favorites :: Wallpapered Powder Rooms

You know I’m a huge fan of wallpaper and am thrilled that it’s made a comeback! One of my favorite spaces to wallpaper is the powder room or half bath. The color, texture and pattern can add so much character and style to the small space. But let me be clear – I hesitate to have full bathrooms papered because of the moisture showers/baths produce. Eventually the seams of even the best papered bathroom will start to come up. So if you love the look of wallpapered bathrooms, my advice is to stick with the powder room (although some of the examples below are of full bathrooms).
