Have you had a chance to see the sweet floral nursery by Emily Henderson? The LA-based designer created the girly, girl room for Lulu & Georgia founder, Sara Sugarman and her new baby girl. The custom designed floral wallpaper on pink ground was designed just for this space (my favorite detail in the space!) The large scale floral pattern with leafy ferns and blooming peonies has an old Hollywood Regency feel that’s undeniable. The color chartreuse was pulled from the wallpaper and repeated in solid velvet drapery and a bench cushion. Love, love, love!

Woven Wall Hangings by Brook & Lyn

The colorful, eye-catching string wall art in Emily Henderson’s home (featured in Domino) had me thinking how much I love that woven wall hangings are making a comeback. Although the 70s retro macramé are popping up in interiors, I’m most drawn to a more refine, modern look. The woven wall art by Brook & Lyn is just that. The Los Angeles based studio founded husband and wife team, Mimi Jung and Brian Hurewitz creates stunning works that are truly a blend of the new and the nostalgic. Jung, with a background in art and graphic design, weaves the creations on custom looms that Hurewitz makes. Doesn’t’ that sound so romantic? Each unique piece incorporates natural fibers suspended from simple copper rods. Love, love, love. Take a look for yourself.

I’m loving the relaxed, eclectic California vibe in designer/stylist, Emily Henderson’s living room recently featured in Matchbook Magazine. She is a master at mixing old with new and splurges with thrift store finds. I am particularly liking the art gallery wall, hanging plant and geometric patterns throughout. So fun!
