I know, snakes in the house aren’t typically a good idea, but I’m loving this slithery collection by Sarah B. Martinez. The watercolor snake art prints as a series or alone would add a playful pop of color to any room in the home. Not to mention great conversation pieces!

I was drawn to this chic dining room vignette with custom buffet with patterned nailhead, porcupine quill mirror and layered accessories while surfing for inspiration on Houzz the other day. San Francisco Bay Area designer, Laura Martin Bovard created the sleek modern look and added a fresh twist. It’s not minimalist like so many modern designs, yet has a wonderful layered, youthful and inviting feel. I think that’s why I like it so much. With a soothing palette of blue, this detailed image of a bedroom was one of my favorite pins from last week. I just love the layers of pattern. Floral wallpaper, ikat throw pillows and curvy raffia headboard are all wonderful design elements, but it’s the birched wrapped lamp and shade with metallic silver detail that had me taking a second look. Don’t you love it too? I’m not sure who designed the room, so if you know please tell me so I can give proper credit.
I thought this serene bedroom design would be the perfect was to start off a very busy week ahead! Don’t you think?
