Nesting Tables

nesting table in living room

I’m always on the lookout for multi-functional furniture, and there is nothing more versatile than a good set of nesting tables. These practical pieces work in a variety of settings from living rooms to bedrooms. I like to use them as extra drink tables for guests in our living room, while the kids like to use them as desks when playing school. However you use them, I promise: Once you have some, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without them! Here are some of my favorite nesting tables in a variety of styles.

Earlier this month, I blogged about some whimsical art featuring charming coiled snakes. Since then I’ve notice these slithering critters more and more. It’s a trend your either going to love or hate, but either way exotic snakeskin patterns are making a big come back. In fact, this month’s ideabook for Houzz is dedicated to the snakeskin trend in home decor and here are a few products featured in the roundup…

Fresh, Chic Modern Decor

contemporary buffet - dining room

I was drawn to this chic dining room vignette with custom buffet with patterned nailhead, porcupine quill mirror and layered accessories while surfing for inspiration on Houzz the other day. San Francisco Bay Area designer, Laura Martin Bovard created the sleek modern look and added a fresh twist. It’s not minimalist like so many modern designs, yet has a wonderful layered, youthful and inviting feel. I think that’s why I like it so much. Here’s a peek into the other spaces Laura designed in this home:

Home Decor Trend :: Rock On

disclosure: This post contains an affiliate links, which means Simplified Bee receives commission if you make a purchase using this link.

Gorgeous stones seem to be popping up everywhere these days! Although not a new home decor trend, quartz,  malachite, amethyst and agate are just some of the natural minerals being featured in furnishings, lighting and accessories. It’s simply stunning how natural rock can be transformed into sleek, beautiful forms that give a space that special touch.

I’ve also rounded up a few more favorite products featuring rocks in this month’s ideabook on Houzz.
