Missoni for Target GIVEAWAY!

I missed out on most of the Missoni for Target collection, but lucked out a couple days later. As I expected everything was wiped out, but Target was restocking some paper and home goods from the sought-after collection. I scooped up as many items I could without looking like a complete hoarder. I even managed to purchased a couple items with my readers in mind. Yep… it’s giveaway time!

The chic expandable file folder in Missoni’s signature chevron could be yours! I am also throwing in coordinating file folders {6 count}.

Simple Style: DIY Tray Makeovers

As I mentioned on Facebook, I recently wallpapered our kitchen nook. Loving it! The space isn’t 100 done {still needs window treatments}, so I am holding off sharing the final reveal until then. But, I wanted to share with you a very simple tray makeover I did to hold the kids homework supplies.

With a remnant piece of wallpaper {Treillis by Manuel Canovas}, scissors, spray adhesive and some high-gloss white paint, I transformed a yard sale find, black painted wooden tray. Now it’s fresh, chic and makes a great homework station.

Here are a few more of my favorite DIY tray makeovers…

My friend Kate from Centsational Girl used a little Jonathan Adler fabric {originally a Mykonos placemat} to line a gray lacquer tray from West Elm. The result is just fabulous, don’t you think?

Found on SweetHome, here’s another tray that has been transformed using a little paint and decorative paper. So sweet.

Using a standard baker’s tray and bold chevron fabric, Martha Stewart’s decorating editor Rebecca Robertson, makes a real statement. So chic! Find the tutorial at Martha Stewart.

Felt is another great way to dress up a tray. Using a silverware or utensil tray, simply line the inset areas with felt. I found this great idea on Apartment Therapy.
