I know, I know. Summer just arrived and our minds are nowhere near the fall season. Our friends at West Elm however have allowed us a sneak peak into their fall collection and it’s so good, I wanted to share. The entire collection is amazing, but a parquet pattern 3-drawer dresser, green Parsons desk, agate decoupage boxes, marble pattern pillows and a mobile chandelier topped my list!

Have you heard? Serena & Lily recently opened a traditional brick and mortar flagship store in the Hamptons! Although I haven’t seen it in person (dying to though!), the 3,200 square foot open floor-plan store with white crisp walls is the perfect backdrop for the brand’s fresh California style. Serena & Lily’s signature bedding, custom upholstery, statement artwork and outdoor collection are just some of the many items on the floor. It appears as if you are walking through a photo-shoots for an upcoming S&L catalog.
The store features some unique items like these hand-painted surfboards. Love!

Aaaaaa … Summer. I love this time of year when days extend into the evening. The transition of seasons to warmer weather always puts me in a mood to entertain and spruce up the home. Interior Designer, Mary Linn Coldiron of Coldiron Interiors creates a stunning entry for the Peninsula Volunteers Decorator Show House in Woodside, California. The two-story foyer features beautiful quarter-saw wood paneling, a wall of French doors and a grand staircase. Under layers of paint and paper the original French wallpaper with Chinoiserie bamboo motif was discovered and restored. The wallpaper’s blue hue was repeated in the rug, accessories and wall leading to the second floor. Bamboo furnishings and blue and white Chinese pottery add to the room’s chic Chinoiserie style. In the room’s center, an elegant settee in tangerine velvet is paired with a resting dog statue and charming hoofed side tables.
Not only do I love the Chinoiserie elements in this space, it has a wonderful curated feel. Perhaps it’s because the design is closely aligned with my own aesthetic.
Hopefully you get the opportunity (if in the San Francisco Bay Area) to tour this gorgeous Woodside estate. It’s only open one more week until May 24th, so don’t delay!
