Girl Bedroom Ideas :: Kerry Hanson Design

elegant entryway with roman shade - Kerry Hanson Design

Inviting, crisp and new-traditional is how I would describe Kerry Hanson’s work. Based out of New Canaan, Connecticut the interior design has a wonderful way with color, mixing patterns (some amazing fabrics used throughout!) and blending period styles (love her chinoiserie touches here and there). I especially enjoy the beautiful spaces she designed for little girls. All have timeless looks that can transition into the teenage years. All incorporate gorgeous textiles. And all are sweet, yet still sophisticated.  Here are a few of my favorites from Kerry’s portfolio to inspire and give you lots of girl bedroom ideas…

5 Faves from Lonny Mag’s Latest Issue

Hello September! You are one of my favorite months; The kids are back in school, the weather is perfect and college football is in full swing (that last one is for my hubby!).

In addition, Lonny’s September issue is live and is loaded with inspiration. I’ve pulled five images that feature some current (and some longstanding) decor obsessions ….

Goodbye Google Reader & Hello Bloglovin’

chinoiserie office - Lonny
In case you haven’t heard, Google Reader’s is shutting down tomorrow, July 1st. So, what does this mean? If you use Google Reader to follow your favorite blogs (and assuming want to continue following) you will want to import those  feeds into another reader asap.If you are still in need of a new feed reader, there are two I would recommend — Bloglovin’ and Feedly. Both provide a one-click migration from Google Reader. It’s really that easy. As for which one I like best, I’m going to be using Bloglovin’. It’s super easy to use and I prefer the user interface. And if you are not already following Simplified Bee and would like to, here are links to both recommended readers:

Thanks for following the bee!
