Modern Flocked Christmas Tree

modern flocked christmas tree // @simplifiedbee #christmastree #holidaydecor

My teenage daughter is the first one in our family to pull out the holiday decor boxes and start decorating for the season. She adores having her own tree in her room. However, a large classic green Christmas tree with traditional trimmings wouldn’t have suited her petite teal bedroom or personality. On the search for the perfect tree, I teamed up with Treetopia. They known for delivering the widest variety and highest quality artificial Christmas trees – many which are space-saving! We narrowed it down to the Frozen Fir Flocked Christmas Tree (6′ tall) with a slim profile was just the right scale and design for her bedroom (or any small space for that matter). When trimmed with with pops turquoise, green and silver ornaments the look is chic, youthful and modern. In addition to the pops of color, natural elements – adorable forest creatures, wooden gingerbread houses and gilded pinecones add a touch of whimsy and warmth to the flocked Christmas tree. It’s just perfect! Wouldn’t you agree?

Friday Finds :: Classic Christmas with Garnet Hill

I have to admit that I’m lacking the motivation to decorate our house for Christmas this year. Because the last year has been full of exhausting house renovations, I’ve hesitated to pull out all the holiday decorations, just to put them right back a few weeks later. Do you know the feeling?

However, my mood quickly changed when I recently received the sweetest felt stockings in the mail from Garnet Hill. Part of the Hable Christmas Stocking Collection (now on sale!), the stockings come in a variety of timeless themes and can also be monogrammed for a personalized touch. I love that they are generous in size too – lots of room for Santa’s goodies!

For today’s Friday Finds, I’ve rounded-up a few other holiday items from Garnet Hill – all with a classic Christmas style. Loving it and think you’ll too!

Gold Holiday Decor + Gifts

disclosure: This post contains an affiliate links, which means Simplified Bee receives commission if you make a purchase using this link.

Shiny metallics are everywhere this holiday season and I’m most drawn to the festive golden hues. A touch of gold communicates elegance, warmth and richness. Yet, if overdone, can be gaudy, tasteless and down right tacky. So be careful not to go too crazy!

Here are some of my gold holiday decor and gifts for the season…

Holiday Organizing Ideas: Storing Ornaments Safely

Holiday clean-up is a chore many of us dread and can’t ignore. Packing and storing Christmas tree ornaments is a project that takes some planning and time. There are several storage options to help you pack away ornaments neatly and safely until next year.

Up for doing-it-yourself? Martha Stewart uses corrugated cardboard, paper cups and egg cartons to covert a standard plastic storage bin into a container perfect for housing our most fragile ornaments.

Who said storage can’t be stylish? The beautifully patterned jacquard fabric of the Jubilee Ornament Storage Chests makes them easy to spot when it comes time to trim the tree.

This space-saving holiday storage box consists of three stackable trays with adjustable dividers to accommodate as many as 48 ornaments. I like that the clear body of this Christmas storage box allows you view the contents easily.

These Archival Ornament Storage Boxes provide secure storage and protect your holiday treasures from damage due to ultraviolet light and migrant acid.

Now that you have organized your Christmas ornaments, are you still buried in ribbons and gift wrap? If you need ideas on storing holiday gift wrap, go here. For more DIY ideas, go here.

Happy holidays, happy organizing!
