3 Girls Bedrooms by Designer Nicole Hollis

In just five short months from first meeting to installation, San Francisco-based interior designer, Nicole Hollis created the cutest bedrooms for three very lucky sisters. I first spotted the bright, whimsical designs on Instagram and had to take a closer look at the feature in Lonny.

Each room is distinctly different, yet all are full of personality, color (a dose of girly hot pink spotted throughout) and whimsical wallcoverings. Built-in desks, bookcases and smart storage help keep each space stylishly organized. Love it all! Take a peek for yourself.

Happy birthday Lonny Magazine! To celebrate the popular digital shelter magazine’s 3-year anniversary, Lonny is honoring its core commitment to accessible, inspirational, creative home design by dedicating its October 2012 issue to simple, easy home ideas that are sure to generate huge results.

Here are a few of my favorite featured in this birthday issue….

Lonny tours design icon, Charlotte Moss’ office/studio, and picks up some worldly advice along the way.

Hotel du Marc

The issue takes a virtual visit to Reims, France for Veuve Clicquot’s annual fall harvest – complete with a quick look inside their exclusive newly renovated 19^th century mansion, Hotel du Marc (swoon).

Lonny also takes a sneak peek inside internationally acclaimed interior designer Miles Redd’s first book, The Big Book of Chic highlighting his most show stopping bedroom designs with tips on recreating them at home.

Dorothy Draper Inspired Entertaining & LONNY

I was so excited to see Lauren McGrath of Good Bones, Great Pieces on the cover of this month’s Lonny Magazine. Inspired by the design icon, Dorothy Draper, Lauren creates a beautiful setting for a summer dinner party on the shaded lawn of her Westchester County home. As a starting point Lauren uses Brazillance, a South American-inspired textile designed by Draper in 1947 to create a stunning table runner. Lauren did a wonderful job of capturing the spirit of the revolutionary designer. It was Draper who in 1923 launched the first interior design company in the United States, something that was considered daring for the time (& aren’t we glad she did!).
