Glimpses of a Design Client Installation

Installing for a design client is always exciting. In fact, I had the pleasure of doing a large install for a client just last week. It’s always fun to see the before and after transformation right in front of your eyes. Most of all, it great to see the smiles on your client’s face. I’m thrilled when they are in love with their new space.

Although it’s not time to share all, I have been sharing glimpses of this beautiful home and design on Instagram. Here are a few of my favorites.

I’m loving it all and am especially pleased with the wow factor Kelly Wearstler’s trellis wallpaper in citron gave the powder room (pictured above).

San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2014 – Dining Room

Last week I finally had the opportunity to tour this year’s San Francisco Decorator Showcase. One room that stood out as a personal favorite was the formal dining room by Cecilia Sagrera-Hill and George Brazil of SagreraBrazil. The room’s elegant design was inspired by the existing beautiful wood detailing and gorgeous hand-painted chinoiserie wallpaper installed by interior design icon, Michael Taylor (1927-1986). Mixing up period styles, the design duo added modern elements including the rug, upholstered chairs and geometric shaped dining table covered in a form fitted golden cover. The most eye-catching element however was the modern art hung above the fireplace – a magical infinity mirror with suspended butterflies in colors pulled from the wallpaper. I tried capturing an image of the artwork, but failed (so sorry!). These images don’t do the room justice, but I pulled some of the best ones I took and found:

Sneak Peek :: West Elm Fall 2013

I know, I know. Summer just arrived and our minds are nowhere near the fall season. Our friends at West Elm however have allowed us a sneak peak into their fall collection and it’s so good, I wanted to share. The entire collection is amazing, but a parquet pattern 3-drawer dresser, green Parsons desk, agate decoupage boxes, marble pattern pillows and a mobile chandelier topped my list!
