Adorable Kids’ Rooms by Designer House of Ruby

Melodie Rubin is the founder of the luxury San Francisco Bay Area  interior design firm, House of Ruby. Her timeless interiors balance classic aesthetic traditions with personalized, custom details, resulting in spaces that are exquisite, yet approachable. I was particularly drawn to the children’s spaces Melodie has designed. Each wonderfully created with kids in mind, but still have a sophistication that mom & dad’s love.

Boys Daybed in Blue and Red with Stars

In this boy’s room Melodie selects a charming daybed in navy with star detail. I love the layers of pillow in various colors, sizes and textures. Such an inviting bed!

Blue Tent Boys Designer Bedroom

In one corner a beanbag chair is placed in a canopy. What a great quiet time spot. A pair of red cubbies help keep books, games and collections organized – love that they are one wheels!

Pink and Yellow Girls Designer Bedroom

Yellow and pink is a beautiful color palette for a little girl’s room. Here Melodie chooses wallpaper in yellow with pink polka-dots covering the walls. The upholstered pink headboard with nailhead trim is a standout in the space.

Orange and White Painted Dresser

I love every inch of this nursery! It’s layered in beautiful pattern and color. The white dresser with persimmon accents is so chic! The sweet elephant artwork hanging above adds a touch of whimsy to the space.

Orange Designer Baby Nursery Room

An eye-catching four poster crib is draped in exquisite textiles in a variety of patterns. I love the crib skirt!

Orange Designer Glider Nursery Room

Melodie also seamlessly mixing styles in the space. A traditional tufted back upholstered glider is accompanied by a modern lucite side table and contemporary fish lamp.

kids Bathroom Fish Wallpaper

In a child’s bathroom, Melodie covered the walls in a darling fish patterned wallpaper. I am loving the shell and starfish mirror she added too!

Red Roman Shade with Blue Pom Pom Trim

Lucite Shower Curtain Rod

Melodie is a master with the details. I particularly like the blue pom pom trim she added to the red Roman shade and the lucite rod and hardware for the shower curtain.

What kid (or parent) wouldn’t love these spaces?
