I’m always on the lookout for fresh, beautiful and oh-so-stylish pieces for nursery rooms. Olli Ella’s new  Piccoli Collection delivers that and more! The 100 organic cotton crib bedding features gentle hues of musk and citrus yellow. The gender neutral palette and design is a perfect choice for either boys or girls. I also love that it is handmade in England.

Friday Find: John Robshaw for Duralee

One of my favorite textile designers, John Robshaw has team up with Duralee to create a fabulous four-book collection of coordinated fabrics. All with Robshaw’s signature worldly look, the collection is divided into rich colors inspired by nature and saturated tones of the East.

Robshaw’s products are a direct reflection of his life experiences and says, “by making textiles, I get to become a minor character in the lives of the people I work with, and I can take inspiration from what I see and do there. I go to their weddings, celebrate their festivals, I get sick with them, drink tea with them, and develop relationships with the people who are teaching me. When you look at my textiles, I want you to feel link you’ve been on the world tour along with me.”

Friday Find: Beehive Party Tub

Perhaps it’s the bee lover in me, but I love a fun hexagon pattern any day of the week. So when I caught sight of these beehive party tubs from the Container Store, I knew I had to share them with you.

Not only great for filling with drinks and snacks while entertaining, but the handled container would be fun to keep toys, shoes or bath supplies organized. At $14.99 each, the price can’t be beat!

Happy Friday!

Friday Find: Stylish Hand-Crank Paper Shredder

Have you had your identity stolen? I’ve heard it’s a nightmare. To reduce your risk of identity theft, it’s recommended that we shred all sensitive documents. But, when is a document “sensitive?” In general, we should shred documents that contain the following:
  • Account numbers {medical, financial, credit card}
  • Birth date
  • Home address
  • Social security number
  • Passwords / PINs
  • Signatures
  • Credit card applications

Paper shredders come in all shapes, sizes and price ranges, but I’ve never seen one like this before. It requires no electricity, comes in yummy hues of grey or turquoise and features a streamline design that’s attractive enough to be displayed on your desktop. I didn’t think it was possible, but Poketo currently has a stylish hand-cranked paper shredder available for $45. I’m digging it for home office use!
All this talk about paper makes me think that we really need to reduce the amount we use. One way to cut down on the amount of paper in your home is to  reduce the amount of mail you receive. Here are some suggestions:
