Happy Friday! Holy cow, did this last week seem to fly by or what?! I’ve been busy decking the halls, wrapping gifts and checking off the gift lists for loved ones. Even though I didn’t find time to blog, I still visited one of my favorite sites for inspiration: Pinterest. Here are a few of the most popular pins in the last few weeks:

Happy Friday! How was your first week of December? Mine was productive. I’ve stored away all of the Thanksgiving and fall decor and have started pulling out the Christmas lights, trim and ornaments. One area that I’d like to refresh with a festive wreath is our newly painted front door. It’s black with brass hardware like the one featured above. So I’ve been on the hunt for holiday wreaths and although didn’t find the beautiful one that hangs on this door, I did find a variety of styles that may work.

I’m especially smitten for the Star Wars Crochet Kit and talking Chewbacca. So adorable!

Happy December! The first day of the month is always exciting for me, but I’m especially loving this first day of December. It marks the beginning of advent. A count down to Christmas Day. Advent calendars have been a family tradition that I’ve passed down to my own family. This year we even have two advent calendars – one that hangs on the wall that doesn’t have any treats and another my girls talked me into getting at Starbucks seen above (I’m such a sucker!). Here are some other fun advent calendars to buy or make!
How cute is this knit stocking garland idea from Pottery Barn? Such a fun way to decorate the mantel while counting down the days?
Create a tiny holiday village for the tabletop or mantel with this whimsical kit that includes folding houses, festive jokes & facts inside, and embellishments. A simply adorable way to celebrate advent! It’s also on sale here.
This colorful advent calendar gives a modern twist on the traditional tradition. I also love that it allows you to tuck away love notes, tasty treats and small trinkets. So fun!
Making your own advent calendar doesn’t have to be overly complicated either. I love this version by Oh Happy Day using non-traditional bright neon ribbons!
Crafty and have the time? Here’s an advent calendar pattern features stunning wool felt you hand stitch to complete. Loving all of the vintage ornaments on this modern Christmas countdown.
This DIY advent calendar also looks like some work to achieve, but boy is it cute!
And how adorable is this DIY plastic animal advent calendar by A Bubbly Life? I’m sure Rudolph is honored.
If you’re just about the treats, you’ll have to consider this decadent box of truffles for every day of the Christmas countdown. Yum!
