Holiday Gift Guide 2015 :: For the Hostess

My head has been down as I’ve been focusing on the One Room Challenge, so I’m a little behind the eight ball in terms of holiday planning! I can’t believe that in just a few days the holiday season will be in full swing and so will the family dinners and holiday parties. When attending one of these holiday soirees it’s always a good thing to bring a little something for the hostess. When considering hostess gifts, it’s best to give a gift that you would like to receive yourself. If you love it, they will too! Thanksgiving Tabletop :: Simply Modern

Yesterday it snowed for the first time this season. It was quite magical! As the snow fell, I found myself thinking of Thanksgiving and daydreaming up a little tabletop idea. I’m loving the simplicity of a black & white palette, with fresh modern accents. It’s not fussy, but an elegant, classic look. Don’t you think?

With October’s arrival all eyes point to Halloween. My kiddos are busy fine tuning their costumes and strategically planning neighborhood routes for the most treats. Meanwhile, I’m a little behind the eight ball in terms of planning the decor, so have turned to Pinterest (to no surprise I’m sure!) for inspiration. Fall Front Door Ideas Perfect for Halloween Too

Football, foliage starting to turn and a switch in the weather these last few days that has me thinking about the fall months ahead. One way I welcome the cooler season is to decorate the front door in a festive way. Some like to decorate their entry for Halloween and then switch it out again for fall. To save time and energy this year however, I’m aiming at just decorating the door only once. I’m thinking of keeping it simple and have I’ve rounded up a few great examples of fall front door ideas perfect for Halloween too!
