Friday Find :: Monogrammed Gifts from Mark & Graham

Yesterday Williams Sonoma, Inc. launched it’s newest retail brand, Mark and Graham and you are going to love it. Specializing in “next-generation personalization” of products, Mark and Graham delivers a collection of custom monograms and a variety of fresh fonts, colors and formats  (from embroidery to engraving).

We believe that a mark is more than a symbol; It’s an artful mingling of typography and design that turns a gift into a personal gesture. It can be bold and boisterous or subtle and refined. It can join families together or celebrate individuality. It can be an inside joke or honor the literal beauty of a name. When it comes to making your mark, we hope you think of us for unique typefaces and beautiful objects. – Mark and Graham

With the holidays coming up, Mark and Graham is a great shopping destination for you to create unique and deeply personal gifts… the kind your loved ones will cherish for years to come. Here are some of my picks…

Sneak Peek: West Elm Holiday 2012

West_Elm_Holiday_Decor_2012

West Elm is sharing a sneak peek at their holiday look books for decor, entertaining and trim. This holiday season is all about metallics, patched fabrics, reclaimed wood, paper flowers, animals, cool tones and vibrant colors. West Elm has also teamed up with some fabulous designers. I’m most excited about the collaborations with Sarah Campbell (colorful pillows, trays and paper  flowers), Laura Zindel (autumnal plates and serving pieces) and Allegra Hicks (dinnerware, bedding, pillows and accessories).

Find Find: Cement Succulents by Waterstone

Today’s Friday Find combines several things I love… succulents, Etsy, ceramics and Pinterest.

Cement Succulents by Waterstone on Etsy

I first saw these unique succulents on Pinterest and simply fell in love with them. They are the beautiful creations by Michelle Weddle and can be purchased through her Etsy store, Waterstone.  Each are handcrafted and cast from molds Michelle designs of various succulent species with strong gypsum cement.

“It’s a process that allows me to recreate the unique form of one particularly delightful specimen many times over. To me, they are treasured relics, comparable to a pristine white sand dollar or the shell of a sea urchin.” says Michelle in a recent article on Etsy’s blog.

They would be great additions to a bookcase, bedside table or dining room table. Best yet.. they don’t need to be watered!

Happy Friday!
