First off: After 17 years, the final Sunset Celebration Weekend will be held on Sunset Magazine’s iconic Menlo Park campus on June 6th & 7th (the magazine will be moving to new digs). Attracting thousands of readers, Sunsets beautiful seven-acre campus will be transformed into an interactive showcase for the region’s most exciting lifestyle inspiration and freshest flavors. San Francisco Decorator Showcase :: Master Bathroom

Today I’m sharing another fabulous interior design from the 2015 San Francisco Decorator Showcase (open now through May 25th). Located just of the main staircase on the second floor, you’ll find the “En Vogue Salon” designed by Tineke Triggs and her team at Artistic Designs for Living. Inspired by the July 1966 Vogue Magazine cover, the master bathroom and make-up salon are nothing by glamorous.

Front and center, Triggs hangs a commissioned photograph by Danielle Mourning (courtesy of Stephanie Breitbard Fine Arts). Just below is an oval freestanding tub that sits on a custom stone floor (designed by Triggs) and is beautifully framed by dip-dyed linen ombre curtains. The hand formed brass and steel Palermo chandelier which hand just above the tub is an absolute head turner! Adjacent to the tub is a custom double vanity featuring period details such as the geometric hand-painted gold applique coupled with brass and lucite hardware. A luxurious chaise covered in an emerald velvet is a nod to the striking eye color found in the ’66 Vogue cover. A super groovy black and white piece hangs just above the sitting area. The shower with feathered herringbone marble tile bridges the master bathroom and dressing room space. The make-up salon walls are strikingly wrapped in Vogue Magazine covers (actually a fabric by James Malone Fabrics). Its the perfect space to prepare for an evening out!

San Francisco Decorator Showcase :: Living Room

Glamorous. The one word I’d use to describe the Living Room designed by Phillip Silver in this year’s San Francisco Decorator Showcase. The space was inspired by the 60s glam of Yves Saint Laurent and the luxurious high-end fashion trends hitting New York, Paris and London. The hot pink and burnt orange accents (colors of YSL’s “Rive Gauche” label) pop in the otherwise neutral space. Phillip’s own beautiful custom furnishings are found throughout the room (the lucite coffee tables are a great example – love!) and are intermixed with Italian and French antiques. This space is simply stunning. I hope you have the chance to tour it!

San Francisco Decorator Showcase :: Kitchen & Family Room

The first thing to catch my eye in the kitchen of this year’s San Francisco Decorator Showcase by Navarra Design was the traditional La Cornue range and hood in glossy chocolate with brass detailing. (swoon) It was coupled with a contemporary verre églomisé backsplash (gilded glass) featuring dandelions. It’s a magical combo. Navarra keeps the inset cabinetry clean in a crisp white, yet adds a contrasting cerused oak island. The kitchen space is unified with striking calacatta marble countertops. The metal and wood bar counter is an unexpected element placed perpendicular to the island and is the perfect spot for the homeowner’s kids. The high lacquer ceiling in teal blue was a wonderful way to incorporate a burst of color and bring the kitchen and family room together. The family room’s breakfast nook is set in the window and delivers breathtaking views of the San Francisco Bay. (it’s lovely)

And how cute is the dog bed nestled under the staircase? Brilliant use of space!
