Happy Friday! I don’t know about you, but this was a long week and I’m glad the weekend is here. To celebrate, I’ve rounded up some very pretty home decor. San Francisco Decorator Showcase :: Powder Room

Sometimes it’s the smallest spaces that have such a big impact. That was the case with the Powder Room by Julie Rootes Interiors located just off the foyer in this year’s San Francisco Decorator Showcase San Francisco Decorator Showcase. Julie lined the walls in Jim Thompson’s “Tibetan Sun” silk fabric – rich in earthy color and chic honeycomb pattern (personal fave). The warm gold and chocolate brown wallcovering is paired with luxe 24-karat gold and onyx mosaic glass tile and a fabulous hexagon niche in gilded metal. The raw edged calacatta marble vanity delivers an additional opulent touch. An unexpected image of a person swimming adorns the space and was commissioned specifically for the room by artist Eric Zener.

White and Gold Holiday Table Setting for Target

Hello December! It’s time to deck the halls, trim the tree and prep for holiday dinners. With the Christmas season in full swing, I was thrilled to work in partnership with Target on planning my tablescape this year. The festive white and gold color scheme sprang from the gorgeous table runner by Oh Joy! for Target and the fun candlesticks from Threshold. I paired the runner with elegant gold and silver swirl dinnerware and faux bamboo flatware. In contrast to the metallics, I added pops of color and earthy touches with succulents, air plants and driftwood. The mini hanging glass terrariums with sand and air plants topped each place setting and are the perfect gift for each dinner guest. I love the result!

From beautiful candlesticks to chic table runners, timeless flatware to festive dinnerware, Target has every little thing (at super affordable prices) you’ll need this holiday season to entertain family and friends!

I’ve been spotting them everywhere these days. Metallics whether that be gold, silver, bronze or copper are giving interior furnishings, fixtures and textiles the Midas touch. Shimmery throw pillows are a great way to embrace the trend without going overboard. Just like animal prints, a little metallic touch goes a long way!
