Do you remember my Michaela who interned for me a few years ago? Her grandmother always told her to dream big and dream she did. Last year, Michaela and her friend Ashley launched The Bloom Workshop. And not surprisingly it’s been a huge success! The hands-on workshop was designed for creative women who are eager to learn about blogging, social media, photography, interior design and styling. Our goal is to share our knowledge on how each of these topics work together to help take blogs or businesses to the next level. Bloom’s mission is to help fuel women’s creative passions, establish authentic community, and help each attendee feel confident in their small business or blog. With special sessions on the specifics of blogging, social media best practices, design, styling and photography, a styled photo shoot to practice the skills guests just learned, and a Q&A session with a panel of experts this is a great opportunity for all eager to learn, network and hone creative skills.

An organized space is like a breath of fresh air. It calms us. For most, wardrobe closets can be some of the most unorganized spaces in their home. Therefore I always recommend closet systems to help keep reach in and walk-in closets organized. These systems can be pricey, so when I stumbled across this gorgeous black and white organized closet – done on a serious budget – I had to share it with you. Nina Holst of Stylizimo created a beautiful walk-in-closet using items mostly from Ikea. The DIY shoe rack created with a series of Ikea’s BYGEL towel rods and spray painted gold is brilliant!

Holy cow, Halloween is almost here and I’m behind the eight ball! My kids have been pointing out some of the homes in the neighborhood that have already decorated for the spooky holiday and asking when we will decorate our own home. This weekend I tell them knowing that I’ll have to keep my promise.
So to get me and many of you inspired and motivated for Halloween decorating, I’ve pulled several of my most popular images from my Halloween Pinterest board to share.
Love this spooky fireplace mantel created by The Design Daredevil. She keeps to a black and white color palette which is also a fave for Halloween decorating.
No carve pumpkin decorating ideas are always up my alley. Love this spotted in Midwest Living with fluttering butterflies and harlequinlike masks.
Love this simple idea of hanging black paper spiders from helium balloons via DIY Studio. Super fun and easy Halloween project!
How clever at these black cat jack-o-lanterns? Such a fun way to greet trick-or-treaters!
Not decor, but really love these mini caramel apple idea via the Inspired Dreamer! Love that they are bit size! Totally going to try this.
These frozen bananas and yogurt ghosts are also a great Halloween treat idea for the kiddos. Healthy too! Here’s the recipe.
Don’t all of these creative Halloween decorating ideas and yummy treats get you in the mood to start decorating for Halloween?
