Best Name Labels for Back-to-School

disclosure: This post contains some affiliate links, which means Simplified Bee receives commission if you make a purchase using these links.

For many the day has already arrived. For others it’s just around the corner. I’m referring to the first day of school. In preparation for back-to-school, my own family has been compiling all the supplies needed for the school year. Folders, pencils (regular and colored), pens, calendars, scissors, glue, staplers, rulers, makers, paper (lined, plain and grid) – the list goes on and on. To avoid all these items going missing, getting mixed-up or ending up in the lost-and-found box, it’s important to add labels with your child’s name on it. I also like to label their backpacks, lunch bags, water bottles and outwear clothing. Adding personalized name labels not only helps prevent loss, but saves you time and money. With a focus on variety, durability and style, I’ve rounded-up the best name labels for back-to-school. Here’s what made the short list:

1 // P-Touch Easy-to-Use Label Maker – because of its versatility to create custom labels with one of 8 fonts, 97 frames and more than 600 symbols. Durable, laminated and specialty (including iron-on for clothing) tapes in a variety of colors and widths are available.

2 // Tiny Prints – because of the quality and adorable designs offered – a look and feel that’s perfect for the younger child in preschool and elementary school.

3 // Kidecals – because they offer a variety of style for a range of ages including preschools, tweens and college students. Love that their labels are PBA-free too!

4 // Emily Press Labels – because their award winning Preschool Shoe labels help little ones put their shoes on the correct feet all by themselves. Children match their shoe labels side by side to create a whole image. Love this!

5 // Name Bubbles – because of all the designs are so darn cute! Love the new Peanuts labels the best. I’ve also used these labels and can say they really hold up!

Small Walk-in Closet Design Reveal

disclosure: This post contains some affiliate links, which means Simplified Bee receives commission if you make a purchase using these links.

One bonus of the new addition in our home, was a walk-in closet. It’s on the smaller size, so I turned to EasyClosets to help maximize every inch. As you may recall, the design was done virtually with EasyClosets and we installed it ourselves. Here are some images of the closet design and install in case you missed it.

The closet’s neutral color palette flows from the bedroom and bathroom. My starting point for the design was Cole & Son’s Great Wave wallpaper which was selected for an accent wall. The beautiful crashing wave design was inspired a 19th century Japanese woodprint.  To complement the coastal feel and grays in the wallpaper, I choose the driftwood finish for the cabinets and layered natural elements such as the jute rug and seagrass baskets.

Love the shoe rack! I can now display and find all of my favorites quickly!

The hutch drawer unit provides both me and my husband plenty of drawer and opening shelving. I love have counter space for jewelry and other trinkets.

Pretty Pink Roses :: The Bouqs Company

Flowers bring a fresh, natural beauty to any space. Through color, size and texture floral arrangements are a terrific decor accessory to help set a room’s mood. So when Bouqs, the premium online floral delivery service asked if I’d like to review a bouquet for myself, it was a no-brainer. I selected a dozen long stem pink roses called Sweetness. Sweet indeed! Like most of Bouqs flowers, they were grown at the foot of a mineral rich volcano in South America and arrive a few days later at my front door.

Here are the pretty pink roses in my daughter’s new flamingo room. So simple, elegant and sweet. And boy are these roses huge and long-lasting. Here’s an instagram of them a few days later. Amazing.

Another difference that makes Bouqs special? They cut flowers to order and avoid a lot of waste. In addition, Bouqs only sources from eco-friendly, sustainable farms that respect the environment and their workers. Love this!

That’s why I’m thrilled about teaming up with See Jane Work at Office Depot to help me create a beautiful, streamlined desk that reflects my personal style.
