Stylish Daily Planners 2018

It’s that time of year! School will be starting soon and 2018 will be here before we know it (yikes!). It’s a time when parents and students everywhere are challenged to keep track their new schedules, events and activities. Keeping an organized calendar is an essential part in helping manage your daily activities and prioritize your time. It’s also a great way to kick-off the new school year and the new year the right way. And it’s true… keeping organized helps relieve stress (we can all use a little less stress in our lives!). When kept up-to-date, a planner allows you to find information quickly, prioritize effectively and schedule appointments on the spot. Love this.

Last year I scheduled all of my events, reminders and appointment on my iphone calendar. Although I liked the alarms, I didn’t like that I could see all of the month’s events in one glance. So this year I’ve decided to keep both. It may be overkill, but I still like keeping an old school daily planner. Today, I’m sharing my favorite daily planners for the remainder of 2017 and 2018 – so many super stylish options and I’m sure you’ll find one you love too!

It’s that time of year! School is back in session, fall is in the air and 2017 is just around the corner (yikes!). It’s a time when moms and students everywhere are challenged to keep their new schedules, events and activities organized. Keeping a calendar is an essential part in helping manage your daily activities and prioritize your time. It’s also a great way to kick off a new school year and get 2017 off on the right foot. Also, keeping organized helps relieve stress. When kept up-to-date, a planner allows you to find information quickly, prioritize effectively and schedule appointments on the spot.

Even though I’ve started to schedule my appointments on my iphone calendar, I still like keeping an old school day planner. I actually enjoy the process writing down appointments, events and day-to-day tasks in a traditional daily planner. Because there are so many stylish designs in a variety of price points, it was tough to narrow down my favorites!

Best Name Labels for Back-to-School

disclosure: This post contains some affiliate links, which means Simplified Bee receives commission if you make a purchase using these links.

For many the day has already arrived. For others it’s just around the corner. I’m referring to the first day of school. In preparation for back-to-school, my own family has been compiling all the supplies needed for the school year. Folders, pencils (regular and colored), pens, calendars, scissors, glue, staplers, rulers, makers, paper (lined, plain and grid) – the list goes on and on. To avoid all these items going missing, getting mixed-up or ending up in the lost-and-found box, it’s important to add labels with your child’s name on it. I also like to label their backpacks, lunch bags, water bottles and outwear clothing. Adding personalized name labels not only helps prevent loss, but saves you time and money. With a focus on variety, durability and style, I’ve rounded-up the best name labels for back-to-school. Here’s what made the short list:

best name labels for back-to-school // www.simplifiedbee.com #labels #organized #school

1 // P-Touch Easy-to-Use Label Maker – because of its versatility to create custom labels with one of 8 fonts, 97 frames and more than 600 symbols. Durable, laminated and specialty (including iron-on for clothing) tapes in a variety of colors and widths are available.

2 // Tiny Prints – because of the quality and adorable designs offered – a look and feel that’s perfect for the younger child in preschool and elementary school.

3 // Kidecals – because they offer a variety of style for a range of ages including preschools, tweens and college students. Love that their labels are PBA-free too!

4 // Emily Press Labels – because their award winning Preschool Shoe labels help little ones put their shoes on the correct feet all by themselves. Children match their shoe labels side by side to create a whole image. Love this!

5 // Name Bubbles – because of all the designs are so darn cute! Love the new Peanuts labels the best. I’ve also used these labels and can say they really hold up!

San Francisco Decorator Showcase :: His Office

Even thought the San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2015 closed the doors this past weekend, I still have a few rooms I’d like to share with you. One is “His Office” created by Brittany Haines of Authenticity B. Designs. The design was inspired by the literature, art and design resulting from destruction. “We kept coming across this concept over and over again – my team couldn’t escape it. So we designed a room around it. The centerpiece of the room is a desk constructed from material called shou sugi ban, created by an ancient Japanese technique of charring cedar planks.” says Haines. Placed opposite the desk is a painting by Ian Kimmerly which was inspired by the crackly, damaged videotapes. Even the smallest details like a wooden tray has a rawness about them. Even with the “destructive” elements, the room is approachable, flooded with natural light and brilliantly layered.
