New Traditional Interior Design by Courtney Giles

This weekend I caught up on reading some of my favorite shelter magazines. There was one house tour featured in Atlanta Homes and Lifestyle that caught my eye. Atlanta-based Interior Designer, Courtney Giles transformed the historic 1911 four bedroom house for a young couple. Sticking with a neutral palette for the most part, Giles’ design blends traditional elements with fresh , modern accents – it’s what I refer to as new traditional interior design. The result is inviting, elegant and current.

Love this black and white paneled pocket door, brass elements and chinoiserie wallpaper!

The chinoiserie wallpaper in the powder room is dramatic and bold, but a fun choice for this small space.

The curved window-seat bench in the boutique style walk-in closet is my fave!

Beautiful house! I like the kitchen – it’s fresh, youthful, yet has hints of maturity to ballance off.
That chinoiserie wallpaper is gorgous! I would put that in the closet….if I had one. :D
