My grandmother always baked us cookies for the Christmas. It was a tradition we looked forward to year after year. Her frosted sugar cookies were the best of all.

Today, although not the baker my grandmother was, I enjoy baking and decorating sugar cookies with my daughters. This year we used Style at Home’s frosted ornament recipe. Using pink, green and white frosting and colorful sprinkles we decorated stars, trees and gingerbread men. Each delightful and unique. My girls were thrilled with their masterpieces and enjoyed eating them the most. I loved seeing the smiles on their faces and knew my grandmother would be proud that we were continuing the family tradition.
Have you been baking?
Happy Holidays!

Oh, yum! Sugar cookies are my favorite
So sweet that you carry on your Grandmother’s tradition. I love traditions and I love sugar cookies. I just got some fun Martha Stewart cookie cutters and will try this recipe. Your kids did a great job decorating their cookies.
Yummy! Pinned and they are on my “make, share & devour” list!
xoxo, Tanya
Our family enjoys making and decorating cookies as well. I love that you shared your kids’ creations!
